The San Diego County Amateur Radio Council, Inc. (SANDARC) was formed in 1958 by San Diego area Amateur Radio organizations to further the goals of Amateur Radio and its member clubs throughout the region.  We are a non-profit organization.

SANDARC promotes events and activities throughout the San Diego amateur radio community. Amateur Radio license examinations are administered just about every weekend of the year. You can take an examination for your Technician, General or Extra Class License. From time to time SANDARC also sponsors classes for those who wish to obtain or upgrade a license, with testing immediately following the class.

Every four years, SANDARC sponsors the ARRL Southwestern Division Convention here in San Diego. Our next convention will be in 2018.  Be sure to check out our online convention information.

We also sponsor a Roaming Amateur Radio Display at local San Diego County Libraries.

Our next scheduled SANDARC Membership Meeting is on October 30, 2014.

We have secured the Venetian Room at Giovanni's Restaurant, 9353 Clairemont Mesa Blvd, San Diego, CA, 92123, from 7pm - 10pm.  The restaurant is located on the southwest corner of Clairemont Mesa Blvd and Ruffin Road, two lights west of the I-15 freeway.

While there is no obligation to eat at the restaurant, we would strongly encourage patronizing the restaurant to the tune of at least a beverage.  The restaurant is providing the room to SANDARC at no charge, and provides free Wi-Fi and a video monitor for power-point presentations.  Should you wish to purchase a meal, please arrive at the restaurant early so that your meal can be completed by the start of the meeting.
